Seriously, Why???
I really liked how things turned out as far as the girls that made it into the group. I am however, surprised, shocked and dissapointed in the apparent image that Robin or Geffen has in mind for this group. I seriously don't understand why they have to be semi-naked and look so cheap. Its obvious to me that Robin or Geffen hasn't carefully thought this out, why would you put these girls in clothing and makeup that doesn't appeal to anyone but 13 to 50 year old men? Men don't typically buy records, women and girls do. I will assure you of one thing any responsible mother will not allow their daughter to look up to hookerish looking girls singing about "let's do some stupid shit" and more mature women will be turned off at the trashiness of their look and message. Come on Robin/Geffen, why are you going there? The Pussy Cat Dolls are sexy but not trashy so why are you trying to make these young 18 year old girls look like street walkers? They and the public deserve better than that. You should be concentrating on showing these girls how to give a decent interview and not talk all over each other like they did on the finale show interview with the news channel.
I watched the show and I was so excited to see their first videos. I could not believe how trashy they looked. They are no doubt beautiful girls but why so trashy??? I'm so sad. I was really looking forward to this group as I love "The Pussy Cat Dolls". I think Robin/Geffen really need to think this over and clean it up a bit. It's all a bit too "girl next door (playboy)" and these girls are just too young. It's not too late to fix this. Seriously. Sex sells.. yes... But seriously there is a reason why Miley Cyrus is so successful and its not because she dances in her underwear. Think about who is buying this music.. Teens ( and in your case with Girlicious dirty nasty men). In the long run if you win over the parents you will make more money. They can be sexy but still have morals. Good luck!
