Release "Afraid" as the Next Single...
after the one y'all have lined up. I'm tellin' y'all Geffen! It is imperative. I love Nelly. Production-wise and lyrically, this will be a super hit. I promise. Y'all better do it. "So afraid what the people might, but that's OK cause ur only human..." and then the beat gets some variety at different points when Tim mixes it up, e.g., havin the sound move from right to left speakers. Very inspirational but not corny... Well done album!!!!! RELEASE AFRAID!
The Multiplicity of Nelly Furtado
Whelp, as I am typing this I am listening to "LOOSE," and I have to say that it is totally different from, Whoa, Nelly and Folklore -- different in the sense that it is more relaxed and fun! Yes it is more mainstream than the previous albums, but it's still packing some heat. It's not as emotional as Folklore but it still has Nelly's lyrical styling (which is why I like her so much). It's hard to pick a favorite song, so all of them have a different mood. I also really appreciate the Spanish songs on the album, I can tell they are pack with emotion. Oh yeah, to all the fans who think she has betrayed her fan base, you are wrong! She said that she's not a "One-Trick Pony" so to expect her to stay the same is to pigeonhole her. The album is ROCKIN'!!! Rock on Nelly!
Not so sure!!!!!
I bought the new album today, and having played it twice Im not sure weather I like it or not, there are tracks I love, but most of the album is to urban for my likeing, I think its to mainstream, she has sold her sound I loved to make it high in the charts. Te Busque is the best track that pure Nelly at her best.
forgot to say how it ends w/ the young girls singin nearly acapella at the end, bringin even more focus to the well-written lyrics...AMAZIN job. AFRAID...NEXT SINGLE!
