Buzznet Covers Final Night of Elbow's U.S. Tour

Buzznet has given elbow a stellar review from their final performance on their recent U.S. tour in Hollywood last Friday.

"On Friday night at the Avalon, Elbow played the last show of their U.S. tour to a packed house that likely felt lead singer Guy Garvey had designed the seamless set list for their ears only. The Denver Post Reverb Blog has reviewed Elbow's recent performance at The Bluebird Theater.

"Elbow’s sound is frequently described as brooding — or downright depressing. The band even pointed out that to show up revealed you to be “a bit of a softy.” With a layered sound and graceful vocals, pre-”Kid A” Radiohead might be the most apt comparison; the music is languid but the lyrics are frequently hopeful. The band worked diligently to alternate downtempo songs with more upbeat ones so as not to sap all the energy from the crowd...."
